‘WOW’ - says it all..what a pleasant surprise !!! D is a wonderful package of ‘electrify’ing ideas..awesome creativity..!!! Itz a routine yet refreshing film.

Whatz itz all about ?

A(Sri Hari), B(Supreet) r two gangsters..B’s son kills A’s member. A kills B’s son. B’s mission is to kill A’s sister. How hero enters into the A’s gang n becomes Ace member, how he falls in love with A’s sister, elopes, marries,…yet getz out of troubles easily by mind n muscle game is rest of the story..!!!

With this don’t misinterpret it as a routine crap. It has been packaged so well that inspite of being such a routine plot the presentation used is too good..!!! Never give it a miss..!!!

Highlights:

There r too many striking ideas in the film..!!!

– The biggest biggest biggest highlight is an ‘electrify’ing idea !!! Itz outstanding, mindblowing, stupendous, out of the box , unmatchable, extra ordinary, marvelous, superb, terrific, excellent…all words that can be used for praising deserve a place here…I can’t resist myself with out explaining it..

In the climax Genelia is kidnapped by goons..they arrest her n tie her tightly..then Supreet (Katraju of Chatrapathi) calls Sri Hari n the latter pleads the former to leave his sis ..but Supreet stabs Gene on her hand n says to Sri Hari that she will die soon n clarifies him that his phone’s battery is less n might work for 1 hour..n hands it to Gene so that Sri Hari should feel the suffering..!!!

Now on hearing to Gene, Sri Hari becomes tensed on not knowing the means to know where she is…then arrives Vishnu..the way he traces out Gene is the real gist here..!!!

He asks Gene on what things she can find her around..she says..a shed, iron rod, a bulb, chains…etc on hearing to BULB..his bulb gets on…!!! He approaches AP Transco to find out the details of electricity supply in and around the city..comes to know that there are over 6 sub stations from which electricity is transmitted..

So he asks the officials to lit on and off each substation for a fraction of second…meanwhile speaking to Gene about the BULB. Now if the bulb near Gene gets off and on then it is the Sub station area where she is hidden…so this way finds out that it is Kapra area n from then as each lane has a transformer once again following this idea takes them to Genelia..!!!

What an idea..??? This idea itself deserves a special award. Whether it is of Kona Venkat/Gopi/Mohan/Srinu Vytla… I bow my head to the person who created it…!!! Itz a sensational idea in recent times..the dimension of viewing a normal bulb as the resource to identify a person is awesome..!!!

– ‘Dhee’ - title excellent one letter one. It reminds of other successful one lettered films..’A', ’sye’,'E’,'Om’…

– There have been many films on a common guy getting into a gangster’s den…but this film has set up a different environment of hero getting in accounts department n bringing out revolutionary ideas..n making the sytem change to HiTech one…!!!

– The place where hero hides money when income tax raids happen…itz also a terrific idea of putting the money in a huge balloon the hero puts in as a matter of publicity to Sri Hari..the usage of Shankar Goud & Co is also good.

– The love track of hero - heroine is interestingly canned.

1. The first interaction starts with each playing music without seeing each other….

2. Their first interaction scene has an intelligent idea by Hero, putting papers infront of fan n when they get dispersed..on the pretext of collecting them he enters into heroine’s room.

– Hero’s introduction is one of the best ones in recent times..he is shown as a Police man chazing some one n later it is shown superbly that infact he is running away from goons…this way of portraying Police running away from goons is terrific..!!! the finishing punch..

– Usage of brain fry, liver, kidney..etc parts by hero’s family..
– Dialogues r very good..there r many one liners..interesting..punches..

2. ’sollu’ kaadu ’solu’tion kaavaali..
3. carburettor - corporator difference.
4. Problem nunchi dooramavaDam kaadu…
Problem nE dooram cheyyaali.

usually such dialogue is used between lovers or family members but here it is excellent usage between rivals..

– Genelia is toooooooooooooooooooooo cute….infact HOT at some instances. She is an asset to the movie..she strikes gold again.. nice to see her onscreen after a long time after Bommarillu. However her dubbing seems to have altered from Bommarillu..the original Sabita reddy’s flavor is missing..!!!
– The way Genelia gets out of the her house is good.
– The way Shafi sacrifices himself on failing to kill Genelia is interesting though horrifying..!!!
– Vishnu’s dubbing is a big surprise. Dont know if he himself improved n dubbed orelse some one else did it but itz a big relief from his past films…!!!
– There r many double meaning dialogues..ofcrse can’t be rated as vulgar..as they r so carefully handled so that they sound as normal ones..to mention “do na kO” (donga naa koDaka)…!!! Brilliance is shown here too…!!!
– Bramhaanandam - histrionics r a big highlight..this is one of his finest performances in recent times…”nannu involve cheyyakanDi” I bet..this dialogue is going to become a raze n become extremely popular among public as Brahmi’s earlier clicks - “panDaga chEsukO”
– Lyrics of first song is very good..nice, inspiring one.. to mention - “Allauddin nuvvEraa, lamp nee life Eraa !!!”. Telugindi (Telugu + Hindi) song’s lyrics r also good.
– The scene in which Vishnu is asked to speak in English with Genelia is very funny..the way Vishnu utters..’Hello’ brings the house down..none can stop laugh..!!!
– Initially Ajay..son of Supreet gets trapped by a vamp who steals the bullets in his gun..the same logic is excellently hit over Sri Hari by making Brahmaaji to steal bullets from Sri Hari’s gun…brilliant stuff..!!!
– The mind game that hero plays on Sri Hari is interestng thru out the film..he constantly gets out of seemingly difficult situations. These things r handled extremely well.
– The capitalization of Jaya Prakash Reddy’s disability has given good scope for comedy.
– The bit songs used as back ground score at times to commend hero are good..!!!
– The way Shafi sacrifices himself on failing to kill Genelia is interesting though horrifying..!!!

Lowlights:

- ‘D’hee title. Though the title is good there is no proper judgement. There is no direct battle between Vishnu n Srihari though it is shown as the battle between them. At the last dialogue of the film only Sri Hari realizes the real things of Vishnu..till then it is Tom n Jerry cartoon network but ofcrse this is also one way of showing things n is xecuted well.
– Heroine craving for first night…(we feel disturbed on seeing Genelia asking for such things…poor Genelia might have also felt troubled but anyway should do such things for films). Anyway this point draws some negative shades on heroine’s character.
– Hero - heroine pair is not the right match. In the final song u can decide on this..Genelia looks too good n Vishnu lags in a lot..!!!
– Many illogical scenes..
1. Supreet killing his own person..in the climax. On seeing that his life is saved becoz of Genelia.. when his person attempts to kill Sri Hari, Supreet kills his own person. How far is that logical to kill his person..whatz the mistake that he did ? His mission as said by Supreet is to kill Sri Hari but in itz execution..if Supreet changes his mind in a fraction of second..should this guy get killed.. this is totally ridiculous..!!! Just to show that Supreet has changed they have shown this way but it lacks logic..!!!

2. The finishing touch of making Genelia get married to Vishnu by Srihari is awry. Initially it is shown that Akash..the fiancee of Genelia in view of Sri Hari reveals that Genelia is pregnant already. So Sri Hari says sorry to Akash n tells him to return America. He strongly says that his sister will not do such things…but to our utter dismay ..in the climax..on knowing that Genelia changed her mind..n also Vishnu losing his love..!!! Sri Hari decides to tie their knot..Ofcrse Vishnu might have lost in love but how far is its logical to make his pregnat sister to get married to hissidekick..!!! Only to ease the direction of giving final punch to the movie itz maintained that Genelia is pregnant though she is not..but it doesn’t sound gud if observed closely..!!!

– Music is not moving much….Dont know y the successful combination of Devi Sri Prasad n Srinu Vytla is given a break..though Chakri seems to have did his best.. Music is yet a let down. Birthday song of Genelia is good…!!!

– Though the dialogues between hero n his father r pun(fun) intended..these scenes r moving towards too bad dialogues..like Son commenting his father as poTTODu…etc

Final Touch:

This film has many ideas from past films..like Mahanandi, 143, Ranam, Idiot, Khushi…etc Mahanandi - Srihari role ditto 143 - Hero elopes with heroine by being a good person in their family. Ranam - the soft n yet hard n yet cunning game that hero plays with villain.. Idiot - The family of Hero is too similar with Ravi Teja’s family in Idiot. Father, Mother, Sister..all roles r too matching..!!!

Khushi - The jatara fight reminds u about the jatara fight in Khushi. The fight at Hero’s house reminds u about the eve-teasing fight in Khushi..!!! Apart from these there r many dubbing films especially of Arjun’s where in the plot of ‘D’hee matches with many.

But on the whole..’Dhee’ is a laugh riot…!!!
An elder aunty(minimum 60 years assured..ofcrse my bad luck) sitting beside me was jumping out of seat frequently..this depicts on how funny the movie is. Itz unfortunate thing that this film has been in lot many troubles for the past 2 years or so..!!! It was stalled in middle as producer backed from project..then Srinu took it on his shoulders..then again problems in releasing…no takers..etc..but the current distributors r really lucky as this film is going to be a decent hit.

Srinu Vytla..what to say about this guy..!!! He has mastered in bringing out a pakka commerical movie with terrific comedy timing, dialogues, screen play..etc. Watch his interviews u’ll fall for him. He is yet to get good recognition inspite of his outstanding talent he is not in much limelight. After the debacle of “Andarivaadu” he strikes back superbly. Itz difficult to predict him as at times he delivers duds.

Venky’s(movie) first half is one of the most extra ordinary entertaining ones. I myself has watched it over 100 times…many youngsters can chant VENKY’s dialogues uninterruptedly..such wonders might repeat with this film too..though Venky is too great to cross…!!!

First half of ‘Dhee’ is simply perfect…u never feel bored..it just passes on..Srinu is too good at handling first half.

Vishnu is extremely lucky in getting such a good film chance. He should be indebted to the technical crew. He can’t ask for more. He got the right film to move his level in the industry. He developed a lot from his earlier films. After watching his VISHNU film..I’ve decided to think thrice before watching his films..but now itz history. Vishnu has come out with something noteworthy. However Ravi Teja (though his age would have mattered) would have been an ideal one for Hero’s character as he would have taken this film to next level very easily taking into consideration all the previous hits that Ravi n Srinu gave(neekOsam,venky) n the rapport they share…!!!

This film has proved once again that itz not the matter of star cast..etc ..but story, screen play, novelty , dialogues, innovative ideas that decide the fate of a film. One more advantage that public get with this film is itz low profile release. We can easily get tickets in this PUBLIC/TRAFFIC Jammed..”High Darr Bad”.

This movie deserves multiple ‘Re”view’ing !!!
