Victory – Fast Food Movie Review

Victory 5.5/10 Star Hotel

Menu:

Casting: Nitin, Mamta Mohan Das, Shashank, Sindhu Tulani, Ashutosh Rana

Director: Ravi C. Kumar

Music Director : Chakri

Banner: R.R Movie Makers

Soup/Starters:

This production team earlier delivered hit film ‘Samanyudu’ and claimed that ‘Victory’ deals with ‘Real Estate’ theme. They have told that this film comprises an ideal solution to curb the affects of Real estate. But the film is not a big shake. Victory has ‘WEAK (s)TORY’ but supplemented by some interesting, applaudable ideas. It is an impressive work for the chosen, tough subject.

It is all about Land Mafia. How Nitin checks the goon Ashutosh Rana using his intelligence forms the crux of the film.

Spicy Items:

– For most of the time, the film is straight to the point. The work on real estate matters and many contemporary issues should be commended.

– Interesting ideas have added some strength to the film.

- The film has an impressive start. Using ‘Bhoodevi’ for narration is interesting.
- The way titles are scrolled using the headlines in Newspapers is an awesome idea.
- The way a key character is killed while ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is being played.

– Dialogues:

- Bhoodevi: nenu ‘Grahanam’ pattina ‘Grahanni’. nenu, aakasam kalavamani telisinaa…naa rate nu aakasaaniki penchesaaru.

- Tanikella Bharani: koduku 420 aitey tandri 840 kaavaali kadaraa ?

- Villain: ‘dunne vaadide bhoomi annadi’ pata dialogue. ‘tanne vaadidey bhoomi’ annadi ippati dialogue.

- Mamta: mee daata maa taata

– Songs:

- prema-manasuku x-ray,
prema-vayasuku sixer ye

song’s lyrics are interesting and is also shot well. The tune reminds Keervani’s tunes.

- The song using Advertisements is wisely picturized.

- The song used for back ground score is very good.

Dry Items:

– Sloppy scenes. When some scenes succeeded in lifting the film their subsequent ones took active part in dropping its graph. This film is a mixture of excellence + ignorance. Many scenes remind TV Serials.

Though there was content for better execution but the treatment is amateurish for certain scenes.

– Nitin’s role is normal. He improved his body but still lagging in body language.

– The film had scope for amazing ideas. The writers could give some very good ideas on other aspects of the film except the central theme. The climax and the solution given is too dramatic.

– There are some routine elements like

- Using Villain’s daughter for blackmailing him.
- Using live telecast to bring revolution in public.

Finger Bowl:

Though the film has normal story but the way it is told is a bit impressive. The hard work of the team is obvious. There are some innovative ideas, good dialogues, concepts of the songs, dance movements.

Fights are ok.

Film is not that great to commend. But it can’t be completely ruled out too. For the chosen concept, they have done a good job but this film doesn’t have all the essential ingredients to become a good hit.

Remarks:
This film might stand as an average one on the whole. But it can reach the range of success of ‘Samanyudu’ when all factors like budget..etc are considered.
