Lift - To UpLIFT the standards of living in Society

How many times have you given lift ? I mean when your going single on a two-wheeler you wud be noticing some people asking for a lift, right ? Did you ever care them ?

Usually people ignore lift requests. Its not an offense too. There are many reasons for this ignore sense. It can’t be accounted as ignorance.

Some of the reasons:

– The avg speed with which we go would be 40+ and its always uneasy to slow down to a lift request. This is one of the primary reasons why people go ahead by leaving certain people behind.

– Trust: Owing to the piling problems in security, insecurity has become a major factor. Now we can’t judge anyone by looks. Face is not the index of mind.

– What would I get ?
Valid question. You would be getting nothing in commercial terms but a heartful thank you when you drop them. There might be some elders, school boys, who are in urgent

need of transportation and can’t afford the luxury of a vehicle.

Travelling in a bus, hiring an auto at prime time have become very tough nuts to bite.

With the ever increasing population, transportation is surely gonna become a big big problem. We have to stretch our hands in controlling it. Majority of two-wheelers go in

single. Occupancy ratio is mostly 50%. When you pass over a crowded bus stop just sense the humiliation those people undergo. Even when a Millimetre of space is not

available in a heavily crowded bus, a 70 year old man still takes the courage to some how fit into it.

To put the story in short….

Solution:

How would it be if we can carry someone when we are going alone ?
If all people take it as a social concern then think how relieved whole city would be ?

I have been giving lift to anyone who requests it.
One day an uncle was showering all praises, saying ‘God bless you my child’ in a tear jerking tone, I could not stop my tears rolling down.

I request all of you to consider giving lift if it is possible.
