Cellular – 8/10

Cellular is an engrossing movie about a young guy saving the lives of an old lady and her family under interesting circumstances.

Jessica Martin is kidnapped by goons and is hidden in a remote place. The only source of communication, a landline phone is also thrashed by a goon before she thinks of using it. She manages to assemble the broken telephone piece and out of random trials with the wires she manages to call a stranger guy, Ryan on his cell phone and tries to explain her problem and urge him to save her. Ryan,  at first thinks it to be a prank and ignores her but on realizing that she is in a big danger he agrees to help her but things do not go in a smooth way, Ryan encounters loads of problems. Inspite of lot of constraints and difficulties Ryan doesn’t give up and manages to rescue the lady and her family.

The way the protagonist uses technology to fool around with the goons is hilarious. Especially in the climax, he uses an excellent idea to startle the lead goon to death.

This film is a treat to watch. Gripping narration is its asset. Screenplay is marvelous. Movie is just 90 to 100 minutes of duration.

Watch it ASAP !!!
